I wonder where he goes in his mind to make his eyes look so sad and haunted in scenes like this.

I’ve wondered that many times – but tbh I’d rather not know and just appreciate how good an actor he is.

I think he’s not the type of actor that needs his mind to go to a particular place, like thinking of a past sad event, to be able to perform and act those scenes.
